Atiq Ahmad
President
Atiq is a renowned economist by profession who arrived in Canada in 2004 with a diversified trade experience in export and import of commodities in the Middle East. Being a visionary entrepreneur, he opened his first franchise of Popeyes within one year in Canada and gained an exponential growth over the years to open a series of Popeyes reaching to 42 locations within Ontario and Saskatchewan. He is a recipient of three worldwide Popeyes awards, including “Leader of the Year”. Atiq believes that his success is because of his team members, and he wishes to give them a chance to succeed as well.
Atiq has been president of MAC (Media Advisory Committee) for the brand for consecutive 10 years. In addition, he played an active role in various committees like, Beverage & Supply Chain.
In 2018, he envisaged to establish “AA Group of Companies”, having divisions of Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen (PLK), AA Commodity, AA Investment and AA Travel & Tourism.
Through his professional acumen, he leads his organization for continual growth of the existing businesses.
Naseer Malik
Senior Vice President
Naseer holds a Masters degree in Integrated Manufacturing & Production Control from University of Toronto and has extensive experience in Operations Management. His vast project management experience in aerospace and auto industries helped him to apply these skills at AA Group of Companies. His key role is to develop systems to standardize restaurant functionality across the board as well as provide leadership to the group for meeting Operational Standards. In his current role Naseer also provides direction to Development and Operational teams.
Junaid Ahmad
Vice President Finance & Development
Junaid is a graduate with Masters degree in Finance and has in-depth knowledge of QSR with a decade-long hands-on experience with restaurant teams. In his role Junaid oversees new projects across Canada ranging from new site leasing to full construction and launch of Popeyes. Junaid also leads our in house Accounting team with monthly performance reviews of our great restaurants generating more than $50M revenue annually.

Amjad Ahmed
V.P- Advisor to President
Amjad holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Management and a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) Degree in Aerospace. As an Aeronautical Engineer, he had served in aviation industries for 30+ years and retired as a Group Captain (PAF) and Deputy General Manager-QHSE (PIA). He had led several Technical & Quality teams in aircraft overhauling and manufacturing industries to qualify for the International Aviation Quality Standards (IOSA, ISO 9001 & OHSAS 18001). His vast experience speaks of his professional acumen. Given his expertise and professional credentials, Amjad has been entrusted to hold the prestigious position of Vice President – Advisor to the President to play a pivotal role in strategic initiatives and decision-making processes.
